My Story
Lisa joined the TrebleMakers team as a violinist and violist with over 14 years of extensive performing, orchestral and teaching experience, and is passionate about helping others discover the joy of music making.
She began learning the violin at the age of 4, and over the course of her school years, joined many musical ensembles and orchestras, winning prizes in eisteddfods and meeting many friends along the way. She began learning the viola in 2018 with Angela Bonetti, loving its warmth and tone, and was accepted to the Conservatorium High School in the following year, studying with Stuart Johnson. Lisa has been a member of the Sydney Youth Orchestra since 2015, joining the flagship ensemble in 2024, and has participated in various programs with the Australian Youth Orchestra since 2022. She has also taken part in state music camps, presented a program on 2MBS Fine Music, and performed with the Rockdale Musical Society, Coro Innominata, and the Tanya Pearson Academy.
She continues her viola studies with Roger Benedict, Associate Professor at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and Former Principal Violist of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Philharmonia Orchestra in London.
In her spare time, you can find her tucked into a good book or film. She also enjoys attending musical theatre shows, ballets, and art galleries.
